Bank of England transformation specialist Jay Jobanputra is to speak at Crimson’s Innovation Conference.

Jay, who joined the Bank of England in 2011, will be discussing how technology is disrupting the financial services sector and how it can make the work of the Bank better.

The topic for Crimson’s 2017 Innovation Conference is ‘digital disruption’, so Jay will be explaining how the Bank use technology to manage their work and their interest in using machine learning, data-mining, and block chain.

Before he joined the Bank of England, Jay spent 18 years as an independent consultant in the private sector, spanning the banking, commerce, and technology industries. His expertise and focus areas were within business model analysis and transformation projects. He has worked in several overseas locations; with his last project based in Abu Dhabi working with one of the region’s largest banks, implementing their credit origination and risk management programme across retail, corporate and trading revenues.

Jay was appointed as a Deputy Agent in the Bank’s Greater London Network in September 2016, having worked on several strategic projects in the Bank, including Stress Testing, UK ring-fencing and the Data Strategy Programme.
