Unsurprisingly, Power BI is focusing on empowering everyone to drive data culture. By bringing the Power Query diagram view into Power BI Desktop, creators can use a no-code experience to perform ETL on their data. Metrics focused on enterprise needs will see enhancements, as will integration with Viva Goals. Finally, big data experience is increased through automatic aggregations, query scale out, data protection, and improved activity visibility for admins.
Organisations will be able to enable, manage, and support citizen development throughout the whole organisation, and anyone developing a Power App will benefit from modern experiences to build and manage data with Microsoft Dataverse in a unified studio - enriching data and optimising user experiences. Developers and users will also benefit from out-of-the-box collaboration capabilities, which will improve group collaboration and ensure trust.
Power Automate will be easier than ever to use across all skill levels, allowing everyone to build out cloud and desktop flows to automate day to day tasks. Organisations need to automate their deployments of Power Automate, so there are additional enhancements for ALM (application lifecycle management). With the increase usage of RPA (robotic process automation) it will be easier to manage machines in Azure with user and account credentials.
Power Virtual Agents will see improvements in Power Pages integration, data loss prevention options, bot messaging in Microsoft Teams, and the authoring experience. Anyone in an organisation will be able to create custom bots on a code-free interface, without a team of developers, long content update cycles, or AI experts – making the process quicker and easier.
Power Pages continues to enhance low-code/no-code development with even more out-of-the-box capabilities. Developers will see additional capabilities when working with forms and lists, and there are additional enhancements that will allow developers to do more with the sites using the Microsoft Power Platform CLI tool.
AI builder continues to focus on building more intelligent apps and workflows. New features for Intelligent Document and Text Processing will benefit developers, including easier integration of large data sets for automated email processing. Lifecycle and governance of AI Builder models will also be improved with enhancements to versioning, deployment, and monitoring capabilities.
Azure Synapse will allow users to unlock deeper insights from Dataverse data, and enhancements to data modelling will allow customers to build new apps that levering rich and intelligent data types. There will also be deeper integration with Azure Active Directory to simplify sharing, while improving governance and security.
